  BPA, under CEO Dzamesi, was one of the best run state enterprises, with a clear strategic focus, innovative projects, and strong positive results like those reported in this article. Yet, Mahama's government sacked the CEO on assuming office. Similarly, they sacked Kwasi Agyeman, who revolutionized the tourist industry, and Provencal, who turned BOST from a debt-ridden entity to one of the pillars of economic recovery. I hope these changes based on political affiliation do not come back to bite the nation. Mahama needs competent, results-driven managers, not just political hacks, if he wants to succeed in his ambition to leave behind a rubust economy.

  When debts can’t be recovered, the declared profit will be irrelevant. Debts of $818.00 million as against profit of $64 million is a complete loss for the Dam. I see the $64 million profit as imaginary.
