  Credit card payments, ATM withdrawals, and prepaid card spending are counted toward this limit, meaning total cash plus card-based foreign currency expenses abroad should not exceed $10,000 per trip unless special authorization for importers is granted. Therefore this advice been given by importers association is not within the BoG framework.

  Credit card limits are set by the issuing bank. You cannot load money on to a credit card. You can only ask the card issuing bank to increase your credit limit. Debit cards are linked directly to your bank account and payment ...

  Credit card limits are set by the issuing bank. You cannot load money on to a credit card. You can only ask the card issuing bank to increase your credit limit. Debit cards are linked directly to your bank account and payments made with a debit card are charged directly to your bank account.
