  Don't say anything nonsense what about the air BNB price for a day charges and you are comparing monthly rent look at the prices and labor cost aday as at now . The only problem is salaries are too weak for workers

  So you see,as usual we are overlooking the obvious. That is why many landlords are not renting out their rooms. To think that a tenant will disrespect the landlord because of some law.

  In 1963 landlords were chasing prospective tenants to rent their properties because there were more spaces in the cities than those searching for properties to rent.Today is vice versa.The state has failed to provide accommodation for it citizens to the extent that governments own data on housing says there is a short fall of over 2000000(two million)housing units.

  Well, landlords will begin to keep their keys to themselves. After all the house is a private property and the landlord is not obliged to rent it out. Who controls prices of other items in Ghana, if I may ask? If demand and supply forces determine prices of goods, why is that not applicable to rental of houses? Let our government build more housing units and no one will tell landlords to reduce their rents to survive the market.

  Today's law makers don't have the moral rights to impose any control over landlords when they have grabbed lands all-over the country to build mansions. If they care about tenants, why don't they complete the various affordable projects every administration abandon when they assume office?

  Law books in Ghana make great door stops. Especially landlord/ tenant and employer / employee laws. The law here is a matter of who can afford the biggest bribes. Greed is the rule of law.
