These amendments are long overdue. I am glad because at least something has been done to this mining issue. Just compare Ghana to South Africa and other countries where mining is done and you will agree to the changes being made. It’s only in Ghana that these mining companies do not develop the infrastructure in the communities. It’s so sad. Compare Johannesburg and Obuasi or Tarkwa and you’ll see why these amendments are needed. Bravo to the CEO.
