Was the NDC govt aware of the fluctuating rates of the exchange rates when in opposition? That blunder when they were doing their propaganda is haunting them today.

These farmers didn't say anything when NPP was short changing them(low prices), but complain against someone who has increased the price? Half a loaf is better than none. These farmers are NPP losers

Do you know the problems yam farmers in the deserts goes through? Do you think cocoa farmers are the only important farmers in Ghana? You can keep your cocoa beans for food.

Why promise when you don't have control of the price of cocoa at the world Mkt and the value of the USA Dollar? If Fiifi Kwettey and Ato Forson had good intentions, they wouldn't have done that.

Mahama must honor his promise of 6000-7500 cedis price . This is not about dollar rate please. Anyway, God does not consider the promise of foolish people.

Truth, your post is offensive and disrespectful. I am a farmer. I just happen to have formal education. The cost of daily rated labour has gone up from ghc70 to ghc90 thus year. Would you to come and convince the labourers to reduce their charges because of the exchange rate? Farmers can't chew the beans, but it doesn't mean that the government should treat us with contempt.
There are things that we can do as cocoa farmers.
The trouble with you lot is that you think you know what you don't know. As a child, I saw my father destroy his own cocoa farm because of a government practice of taking the cocoa beans and giving farmers a chit....yes, a chit instead of cash. And the farmers had to wait for months and travel so many times just to demand payment. In 2025, farmers can and do resort to selling their farms to galamsey operators. So don't provoke desperate farmers. Galamsey can affect you wherever you are. The 8 victims of the helicopter disaster never imagined dying from galamsey....but that's what happened to them. Just because you can post doesn't mean you should say thoughtless, provocative things to longsuffering poor farmers.

It is the typical comment of Accra residents who see the cocoa farmer as a villager. Meanwhile he benefits from their labor and likely hasn't ventured north of amasaman ever in his life

The Cedi's value is extremely high against the Dollar. If interest rates aren't raised, the foreign trade deficit will explode.

When the president JDM was seen on Facebook advocating for investment in a high yielding business nobody including Bank of Ghana officials have denied or support the video as genuine. Nana Ama Anamoah's video also appeared on Facebook promoting a high yielding investment and "nobody" has reacted to that story. A similar video also appeared on Facebook showing Kennedy Adjapong promoting a high yielding investment. Bank of Ghana has not reacted to this story too.
I believe all these stories were made using AI technology but not the real people. The people (President Mahama, Nana Ama Anamoah and Kennedy Adjapong) involved in this cases have not reacted either. I believe these videos were posted to entice the Ghanaian community especially, to invest in those businesses.
The question is, are we waiting for someone to be scammed before the government comes out to warn or react to the story. I believe a lot of people have invested in those platforms.
I'm not saying yet that those adverts are "scammulous" but at least let those who's videos appeared on Facebook come out tell us "something".
ALL GHANAIANS SHOULD DISCUSS THIS MATTER BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE BECAUSE SINCE NOBODY HAS REACTED, BELIEVE YOU ME, OTHERS WILL FOLLOW. "SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING". I REST MY CASE
I rest my case.
