Why should farmers pay for the inefficiencies of COCOBOD? It is absolutely untenable to reason that because of the carry overs farmers should be penalised with low price.

Has COCOBOD staff reduced their service conditions?
They go to hospital free
They enjoy car loans
They enjoy housing loans
Why should the farmer bear all these costs
Bottom line: pay the farmers the promised GHC 6,000 period

1. COCOBOD fertilisers procured for farmers are woefully inadequate. Farmers always don't get the full bouquet for their total acreages. This is fact
2. These fertilisers are mostly smuggled out. It does meet the intended purpose
3. It has become a source of procurement corruption within COCOBOD. The remote objective is for the some staff of COCOBOD and suppliers to profit illegally from it
4. You will also get to know that the price at which COCOBOD sources the fertilisers are higher than what the global market offers. The sourcing prices are quoted higher to enable corrupt people share the extras
5. With the higher prices COCOBOD is unable to procure more fertilisers for distribution to farmers
6. Free fertilisers program is the most corrupt enterprise in the cocoa sector
This program must be stopped
Let the farmers buy their own inputs
Add the money to the farm gate price to the farmers
