TAX-FREE WEALTHY DUBAI WAS TRANSFORMED WITHIN 20 YEARS BY ONLY ONE ARAB SHEIKH WITH THE EXPORT REVENUES OF HYDROCARBONS PRODUCTS AND BYPRODUCTS. DUBAL ALSO OWNS ITS OIL REFINERIES LIKE THE REST OF THE TAX-FREE GULF ARAB STATES.
MEANWHILE, BANKRUPT GHANA CANNOT EVEN MANAGE A SMALL TEMA OIL REFINERY, LET ALONE RETRO-FIT AND EXPAND AND MODERNIZE THAT USELESS REFINERY AT TEMA.
THE SAME APPLIES TO THE DISUSED AND UNDER-UTILIZED ATOMIC REACTORS AT KWABENYA CONSTRUCTED OF COURSE BY NKRUMAH OF BLESSED MEMORY TO OPTIMIZE GHANA'S VAST DEPOSITS OF URANIUM AND PLUTONIUM ALONG THE GULF OF GUINEA, GHANA'S CONTINENTAL SHELF.
WHY? BECAUSE SUCCESSIVE THIEVING GHANAIAN HEADS OF STATE HAVE ONLY BEEN INTERESTED IN THEIR BULGING PERSONAL FOREIGN BANK ACCOUNT BALANCES.

Honorable Minister of Communications,
Thank you very much for standing up for us on the issue of DSTV subscription fees. Indeed, the cost of DSTV in our country is significantly higher compared to other African nations. This situation gives many of us mixed feelings: on one hand, it feels like we are being unfairly treated, but on the other hand, it has reduced our television consumption.
Personally, when the high cost became a challenge, I stopped subscribing to DSTV. This decision drastically reduced the time I spent watching television, and I’ve found my days to be far more productive ever since. Nowadays, I rarely watch TV at all.
In fact, I believe excessive television viewing contributes to laziness and reduces our productivity as citizens. In this modern era, with smartphones and easy access to news online, we don’t need to sit for hours watching TV anymore. We can simply read headlines or watch short clips about what truly interests us.
Therefore, while I commend you for standing up for us regarding DSTV pricing, I also suggest considering the potential benefits of discouraging excessive TV watching. One way could be to introduce higher taxes on such subscriptions. This would not only generate additional revenue for critical national development projects like roads and hospitals, but it would also discourage unnecessary TV consumption and encourage people—especially those with limited means—to focus on more productive activities.
Of course, wealthier individuals who can afford it will still pay, but for many, it might push them to invest their time and resources in more meaningful endeavors.
Thank you once again for your dedication to the welfare of our country. You have already done what Napoléon could not do

What's with this guy and DSTV drama. While DSTV provides entertainment and information, it is not a fundamental need like food, shelter, or healthcare. Focusing on these basic needs and economic development will have a far greater positive impact on the lives of Ghanaians than addressing the cost of subscription fees. DSTV is for rich people. Invest in the Ghana national television( GTV) for proper development and for everyone to enjoy TV.
