3. Operational Cost etc can all influence pricing.
The government's problem now is will the citizenry be patient with the government as the football season draws nearer ?

Why can't ECOWAS negotiate for its members? Short of that, we'll always have "Divide and Conquer" reigning.

Absolutely right, DStv called me regards to customer service weeks checking on my opinions on their services, I told them my main reason for their services is with all Major international news and documentaries and few movies which i mostly don't have time to watch yet paying for it every month thus if they could introduce pay as you watch as additional options it will help, and also the different viewing packages also can be personally collectors as pay individual needs, i really don't see the sense in paying for a television show I don't need or watch. Sam please thanks for looking up for our needs as a good Son of the Motherland.

You're in charge so shut up and do your job. This is behind the scenes and table talk not too much noise in social media. You motherf***ers always take kick backs from these companies then make noise in the media. Just hold their balls with licences and they will negotiate. You see how Trump over here in the US doing with the tariff situation, that's how you negotiate.. a word to the wise is in the NORTH because if you care about Ghanaians too much, you'll make a deal before you speak nonsense. Stop comparing Ghana to other countries for probably subsidizing some taxes and sitting at the table to get what they have. Sam George l believe you don't know what you're doing as a Minister and crying for help.

Kudos to the minister however the behavior of DSTv and other foreign companies has taken this country and it's citizens hostage and for granted bcos our leaders just sign contracts and agreements that are very detrimental to the country and it's citizens for peanut kickbacks. Their corrupt tendencies makes it impossible to stand up to these companies and bring them in check when they stray. That is why we have reached this far. Go to companies run by Chinese and see the injustice they met out to Ghanaian workers. Some of these workers come out to complain but nothing is done to the perpetrators of these actions. Another classical example of such weak stances is the decision of government to depot foreign nationals (especially the Chinese) when arrested dealing in illegal mining (galamsey) while their Ghanaian counterparts are prosecuted. Our leaders are always treating foreigners with kids gloves while the citizens suffer. I hope the minister will go the whole mile with this issue of DSTv treating Ghanaians equally as Nigeria and the rest of other African countries. Mr. Minister please don't let this be a flash in the pan.

Conversely, you Ghanaians also know the truth and the fact that you are being cheated. Don't make yourselves look desperate. Drop your subscriptions and them fold up. The Ghanaian consumer is too tame and quite.
The third solution will still need the minister. Please, regulate our local channels. Openings up the space held hope of better entertainment for me but that's not what I see. Now all sorts of charlatans have started stations where they only lie and cheat. They advertise fake medicines with repetitive words for 1hr. Thieves and rogies who deserve to be behind bars now calling christ
