This is a good move. Production cost was high, the draught affected our farms only for government to close boarders. Now, prices have dropped beyond imagination. Since they have started importing maize, one need to cultivate another crop.
Since petrol price reduced, mechanization (ploughing) cost never came reduced. 90% of inputs costs remain the same yet at harvest government will step in for the buyer and consumer. Who steps in for the farmer ??during planting?
