So we need nanny state to set the prices for us because most people are greedy, cheating thieves despite going to church or the mosque. Then we all sit around blaming the government without looking in the mirror.

This is very brilliant idea and must be considered asap. I wonder if the writer can petition parliament directly. This will be a game changer in protecting consumers because some Ghanaian businesses are really evil.

In the 1970s there was a Prices and Incomes Board. It was dissolved and replaced with a Fair Wages and Salaries Board. The Prices aspect was conspicuously eliminated.

No excuse about this. Long overdue. I made similar suggestion to a previous government official about price control and the response was hey do I want to visit the Rawlings era? Meanwhile he admits that in Côte d’Ivoire they are controlling prices. Kindly make an official request to the government and let’s see the outcome. Out of greed the country has been made artificially expensive, meanwhile most of the perpetrators are always in church

What the government can do is the 'Goil' example. Set up governmental/State trade companies and use that to regulate the prices. The only problem with this is that most state enterprises are not run well.

Ghana is Just a jungle, nothing is working here including selling of everything. Just look at how ppl are building or have build their houses, no plan. look at roed network in the whole country, look at ppl attitude to one another, look at the standard of living, for the past sixteen years of nppigs and NDC was Just a hell of wasted time. President JDM, this is a time to redeem this country because the cevilians dont have any hope them selves. Its like a cemetary. Driving big cars on very bad roads, living in big homes with filthy surroundings, omg, Just onbelievable.
