  They did not even come out with any prudent actions to curtailed this canker but rather to beg the public to refrain from refusing the coins.This is a lazy approach and waste of time to announce this to the public.

  The rejection of coins is a trend from Nigeria which is gradually being introduced in Ghana. The Government should step in and put a stop to this development. Otherwise, we will fail in bringing inflation under control. Let this nonsense stay in Nigeria. The habit of of demanding many months and sometimes even years rent was introduced in Ghana from Nigeria. Hence, we should watch out for this recent development of not accepting coins in the country.
