Finally, people will stop celebrating election wins when they realize there'll be no freebies. Instead, they'll understand they're there to serve, not take. A government that makes sense has finally arrived. Leaders should seek power to serve, not exploit. With this shift, winning power will feel like landing a job - a chance to serve and improve lives, not plunder.

This is a laudable thing Mr. President. There are state organizations that are issuing fuel coupons to ordinary staff members and their management. I wish to call the president's attention to such wasteful colonial legacy, institutions like SSNIT, BOG, SIC, MINCOM, FORESTRY COMMISSION, STATE OWNED BANKS, MMDCE's, and directors at the various ministries. This colonial inheritance of providing accommodation, car, fuel, and many other unnecessary incentives is hurting the development of this country. The single spine was suppose to stop these colonial nonsense but for the greediness of management, they remain silence on such wastage. Ghana will bounce back solidily if such momentum is maintained. Mr. President, let the bitter decisions flow now to deter criminals from opting to go into politics.
