@Bright, yes it is, it means the Cedi is stabilizing now - it cannot keep appreciating forever. This is what it meant when the President (John Mahama) said the Cedi needs to stabilise between 10 and 12 dollars for the sake of businesses and those in the diaspora (remittances). In my humble opinion the government should try and drag the rate down to 8 dollars and stabilise it between 8 and 10 - let's wait and see.

the illiteracy embedded in the lungs of Gh market traders is what has given Government a 2nd taught regarding further reduction. its almost like an effort in futility, dropping the cedi down from approx 17Ghc to the usd.

our market system does not support fair pricing and fair trade.
May be Govt should rather buy the cedi from the central bank at 10.2 and sell it at 15.5ghc to the commercial banks so they can also sell at 16 to the public, and use the interest made to build roads and railways for all of us

Bawumia and the NPP would have never achieved this. After cutting taxes and abolishing taxes. The dollar still down throttles. God bless Mahama. So why couldn't the NPP make life easier for us.
Oh.
NPP never again.
