Abortive attempt on May 15, 1979, followed by June 4th AFRC/PNDC. Don't we know these lot? Instead of continuity, coherence, and consistency in governance and development, we are left with waste, misgovernance, and undiluted mediocrity. Whatever happened to NDPC, instead of pure vindictiveness, equalization, and gotcha politics? Why is our politics not science-based, data-driven, results-oriented, or citizen-focused? Check this:
"Thank you, Tour: My projects abandoned by the previous government will be given priority – Mahama."
Now, think about the 2011 Constitutional Review Committee Report, E-Blocks, Agenda 111, and the Mahama Cares Initiative. What about the magnitude of the uncouthness that occurs during the transition and post-administration change? Is it an accident that most, if not all, the persons being prosecuted now emanate from the opposition political party?
Who will emphasize the deployment of smart (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timebound) policies and technology, such as the smart formalization of the economy, coupled with Blockchain for efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency purposes? Can the significance or materiality of smart formalization encompassing residence address, area/zip code, region name, personal identification number, and email address on the Ghana Card ever be understated?
Prof. H.K. Prempeh and your crew have a lot on your plates. Otherwise, we're looking at the recurrence of voice, manual voting, or Carlos Ahenkora fiasco in parliament without the simple deployment of digital voting equipment in this Fourth Industrial Revolution Era, or Digital Information Age.
Then again, why doesn't the NPP have a register of all its members as Eugene Antwi advocated? Why is our governance so expensive? What are the duties of MPs, or are they supposed to play Santa Claus with our meager development resources? Whose interest or duty is to resource NCCE in order for it to engage the public?
These politicians ratify agreements outside the country and often neglect to engage the public or involve them. Is it not fascinating that this political class will turn around to wonder why the AU or ECOWAS policy of free movement of goods and people is facing headwinds? Aren't such results due to a lack of preparation or public education?
Somewhere, I read that a guy stated, "It's possible," and also noted that, in football or soccer, if you're playing a match and neglect to put a keeper in your goalpost, you don't expect the opposing team to coach or advise you to do so. Likewise, if you have an imperial presidency and a high informal sector, you have to correct that error before it becomes a mistake.

As an active participant in the development of Ghana’s export economy for the last 25 years, I wholeheartedly support and endorse the views expressed by Farmer Davis Korboe at the Jubilee House yesterday 3 June 2025. Our nation is at a historical turning point in its progress towards becoming the fair and equitable society we all want and need. We thus join with FAGE in applauding our administration in all and every aspect of its 24 hour economic policy. Join me and other like-minded entrepreneurs at the Horticultural Expo in the Accra International Conference Centre starting on the 11th June next week and let’s look at ways that we can help to underwrite the success of our leadership’s revolutionary new strategies.
