Why are some businesses quoting a different exchange rate? This is exactly what KSM addressed in his KSM show yesterday namely: The lawlessness in the country and no one has the courage to take the bull by the horns.

Trump's chaotic trade policy and concerns about the worsening US deficit have dampened sentiment toward US assets, thus weighing on the dollar. "In the long term, a regime change for the US dollar could be imminent after the recent peak," said David Meier, economist at Julius Baer. "The unpredictable US policy, the strained fiscal situation, and the high foreign debt, combined with the two deficits, suggest that a weaker US dollar is the path of least resistance." Unquote

Ingrates, how much have you benefited so far since the cedi began to appreciate. Ungrateful human beings. They will do anything to sabotage the system. No wonder Akufo Addo treated you like idiots.

Blame Mahama for the Good work. It is Mahama job to lower the cedi (upgrade in percentage)but not Mahama job to lower prices but the greedy vendors.. Go to the petrol stations and ser if petrol has not gone down, go to the markets and see if some foods have not gone down. Even repayment of the huge debt the previous useless government left has gone down because the cedi has appreciated. Offcourse that is hurting you bad so wait for 2028 and vote npp again- but many more Ghanaians will vote ndc if they continue to do a good job.

But once again, the responses to Owusu's speech will be divided along party lines. For us Ghanaians, EVERYTHING is political......even the kind of gobe we eat is either NDC or NPP!!

Are you not playing the same card? Ndc npp? Hypocrisy. We Ghanaians have prayed for the cedi to appreciate against the dollar for ages if it happening now just praise those in power under which it is happening-simple as that.

Deloitte should know the current trend is the Trump administrations strategy to devalue the dollar whilst using tarrifs to force other nations not to react to the devaluation. There is nothing Ghana can do when the dollar starts gaining traction by the end of 2026. To take the credit for the current situation is comical at best but, we do need a giggle now and then.

If the cedi appreciation is attributable to he US trade war then why is it that Nigeria and other African countries are not experiencing same? The gains achieved by the business community is huge and no attempt to demean it will succeed. The fact is that the cedi has appreciated and we are seeing the benefits so we don't care what the you people say. What if it remains stable within 10 to say 11 for the next 4 yrs? Let's be optimistic for once as a country and learn to appreciate good things.

All currencies are gaining strength against the United States dollar okay. Again, it is demand and supply interplay. In 4 months, what has Mahama done? You know the billions of dollars China and other countries have decided not to buy? International trade has been halted because of Trump's disaster. Even the 19 years rule of the PNDC/ NDC couldn't fix the Cedi so how did they do it in 4 months? Thank Donald Trump okay. This is international economics and finance so shut up Africans and ask your leaders to implement the right policies to fix the huge economic mess on the continent.

Not only export but also, all international companies in Ghana are busy buying dollars at cheap rate in Ghana and exporting thier profits outside whiles Ghanaians are in jubilant mood. If a company had 150 million cedis profits March, it would have given them 10 million dollars to take out of the country. Now, at around 10 cedis to the dollar, they can get 15 million dollars to take out of the economy. And people are celebrating!!!! This is painful to watch.
