    Have you considered the price differentials for the periods. Gold and cocoa prices have almost doubled this time round so the same volume will give you different amounts.

    Amazing of course the value of exports have increased, there is now 25% tariff on them. It's all smoke and mirrors.

    Tariffs are paid by those importing goods to the USA not the exporting country. So, the tariffs cannot hurt us, especially as demand for our major exports, gold and cocoa, is inelastic. In other words, demand is not affected ...

    How is that? We have oil exports and we also we have oil imports. Why do we export a commodity that we turn around to import? Unless there’s something fishy here.

    It doesn't necessarily means the increase was made only in April 2025.
