  Yes, these trucks break laws that the shippers' council fails to implement, so once they let them get on the roads, the policemen enforce the laws into their own pockets. This is the nation we have become. More vim to the police to "harass" them. If you've ever been stuck behind 3 of trucks that block all 3 lanes at low speed, while overloaded, you'll not be saying this.

  Same to immigration officers. They will take money even from a Ghanaian at the border returning to Ghana what about foreigners. We so so disgraceful

  The drivers park at Afienya for their mates to go and pay to aviod passing through the weighting bridge.

  The police and customs checkpoints are many, compared to other west African nations.With the exception of custom officials, how much do the other security officials add up to our national coffers in terms of revenue? In the advanced countries the security agencies in every county mobilizes revenue for their monthly salaries but in Ghana it’s different as they’re always there to extort money from drivers and passengers into their pockets,whilst some of us sweat to pay taxes for their upkeep. It’s my plea to the government to set up a task force to check these nefarious practices and also remove some of the barriers to easy access to our land locked neighbors

  The Police do not understand the simple truth that the quicker these juggernaights are helped to exit our space, the better for everybody. Many are clearly visibly accident prone.
