Good job done by the age cutting. In-fact. 30 would have been better. Dodowa riders are the worse in the whole of Ghana.

Okada should be banned outright. Okada at Ashaiman, is a real mess driving with two okada riders in between the cars, making it 4 vehicles on a single carriage road. Yes: THIS IS THE RESULT OF CHEAP POLITICS. BAN THEM !!!

That law is for their own protection but they don't know that. I think they must be educated on it with loads of videos and pictures of gory incidents involving okada.

Per the Labour Act of 2003 (Act 651), the legal age to start working in Ghana is 15. And if it’s hazardous work—like mining, quarrying, or anything involving heavy machines—you’ve got to be at least 18. Simple.
Now about this whole Okada issue—if these riders actually took the government to court over age limits, they’d likely win. What’s really wild is some folks, who clearly haven’t touched a law book, are calling for the riding age to be raised to 30. Seriously?
Sure, crack down on reckless riders just like any other bad driver. That’s fair. But suggesting they can’t ride till they’re 30? That’s not just unreasonable—it’s just plain foolish.
Let’s stop the emotional takes and stick to the facts.

We have young boys losing their limbs and lives from reckless okada riding everyday and the leaders of the okada riders are rather resisting the government who wants to sanitize their trade. I saw a young amputee yesterday and it made me so sad. Government has to tackle this okada menace as a matter of urgency.

Canada decided to make bike lanes...as a "pilot project"....after studies....research....statistics...it created extremely heavy traffic...that saw a revenue loss of about 63 million dollars, because goods and supply chain were getting slow due to traffic as lane reduction and also bikers getting in the way...forget about fatal accidents....just the revenue loss alone forced the city retract the bike lane idea and forced the court to pass motion to remove bike lanes.... if you Ghanaians won't allow your government...MPs....leaders to actually think for the country, the enjoy your suffering because it is the best.... your fuccking cedi is weak because your economy is too slow...and your mindset....your mentality plays a role..... your attitude continues to attribute to the cedis weaknesses against the dollar. You have bad roads, fewer lanes and you want 3 Okada sharing the same lane with big cars..... creating confusion among drivers and slowing them down.....by the time goods exchange hands....the dollar rate had already increased because the goods spend 8hrs in traffic. From Toronto to Maryland is about 8hrs drive from Accra to kumasi is how many hrs????? A 25km journey in America takes about 17-20 minutes driving...whereas in Ghana, same distance on an okay road in accra will take 55 minutes. How can your cedi compete??? Change your mindset so those you vote can respect your vote and solve the problems you face in the country..or else they see no sense in fixing the country. Bathing and dressing up a pig is a bad investment and your politicians know this!
