However, commercial vehicles,which are needed the most for public transportation are not assembled here(mini buses and trucks) to be given on hire purchase as these vehicles can be paid for with the incomes buyers would make on them.

If we can manufacture car parts here, we can produce any car we want. Think like Nkrumah fools.

We all know , vehicles are sold by name and reputation. If a vehicle is highly recommended it sells it's self. How does a vehicle with no reputation from nowhere become a hot seller? Toyota and the likes took about 70-80 years to get where they are today. A few decades ago these cars were just a laughing stock in the western world. The unique selling point of the Japanese cars was that they got a big name , in reliability and low running costs.

But because akufo ado (the scammer in chief) always cared more about his and his family's political positions than anything else succumbed to the least resistance from Abossey Okine spare parts dealers to the disadvantage of his scammed auto manufacturers. Now you are talking about pressure from some quarters as the reason for that failed policy. When akufo ado's back was against the wall (after stealing so much and mismanaging the rest) what kind of pressure (from the entire country, not just Abossey Okine) did he not withstand to get e-levy through? Yet instead of telling the truth here you are dishonestly trying to insinuate that it's Ghanaians who not patriotic. Give us a break
