  The national lottery in the UK run by Camlot has so far provided the state with 30 billion pounds to finance good causes.The national lottery in UK sponsored the UK Olympic team to France.The same can be replicated in Ghana if serious attention is paid to the running of the National lottery in Ghana. Properly managed the lottery in Ghana can be a huge source of revenue to finance state projects.It will undoubtedly help reduce the huge budget deficits that have plagued governments for years if serious attention is paid to it to make it more productive than it is now. There is the notion that gambling is evil,especially among Africans but sometimes good can come out of evil.

  Sammi Awuku was the director for how long? For political expediency and popularity, he kept quiet about these for years so they could exploit the system for their pockets. They probably have a 'contract' with a crony agent as a go between collecting the lottery taxes for the state.

  Typical Ghanaian politician they all of sudden identify problems that need to be tackled when they no longer are in a position to take action. Parliament is a place full of jokers.
