That's what Rawlings Tsikata and NDC did 2 Ghanaians. They stole the money today their kids are enjoying and they still want to come and destroy free SHS.

Allow the thing to rot in the sea.No need to spend the taxpayer money on something which is already damaged.

I would not spend a penny to "clean-up" this monumental garbage. That is if it's costing me anything financially, in reputation or anything otherwise

The Saltpond Oil Fields story is rather unfortunate for Mother Ghana.
I remember it in the 1978, when an American Agricultural Company by name Agri-Petco sent for engineering students to be recruited into the Oil & Gas.
Their offices at the time was close to Nyaho Medical Center off the Aviation Street.
Six students from the then Accra Polytechnic, now Accra Technical University, comprising:
1. Michael Mensah, Albert Deddor
2. Theophilus Adjei, Mintah
3. Vak-Stevens, Sagoe Quansah
These guys had a training at the then Texaco Training School near the 37 Hospital roundabout., after which they were sent to Flopetrol, a Shlumberger subsidiary in France for practical training for a period of 4 weeks..
The training instruction was in English.
The 6 students were full of expectations but that did not materialize.
1. The Rig:
Mr. Louis was a exploration Rig which was tugged from France earlier on fir the exploration and later converted into production Rig. Mr. Louis was an old rig long before it was brought to its existing place.
2. Number of Wells:
There were 6 oil wells at the field.
Total number of barrels produced weren't encouraging at all.
3. Life on the Rig.
There were 2 expatriate teams; A French Team and an English Team which alternate on 6 weeks offshore, while the Ghanaians run a 3 weeks offshore shifts.
4. The Contract Agreement wasn't in favour for Ghana.
