John Dramani himself is a subject of chain scandals. What saved him is the presidential immunity after leaving power and the partisan nature of country. The country would simply burn to ashes if Akufo-Ado made any move to prosecute him, especially when he was still an opposition leader. It was out of convenience and not lack of evidence that they let him go. And no former president would ever be prosecuted in Ghana because the footsoldiers are ever ready to sacrifice themselves. They don't care about evidence. They care about party!

If the imprisonment is as a result of his partisan political activity, not excluding taking up arms to fight the government as was the case was with Nelson Mandela and Kwame Nkrumah all the charges are dropped against them.
