Kantamanto has the unflattering reputation as the world’s largest dumping site of used clothes (Broni waawu) from Europe and the U.S. It’s estimated that more than 30% of the used clothes that end up in Kantamanto is useless and end up being dumped in landfills and in the sea. The new government should regulate the importation of useless clothes and broken electronics and household appliances. They adversely affect the environment.

The govt cannot just ban it without tackling the economy.2nd hand clothing started booming from the early 80s .After NDC's 27yrs & NPP's 16yrs we shd have moved from the high demand for 2nd hand clothing.
