Currently it’s owned by the Republic of Ghana. The previous lease owner FGR/Blue failed on all their commitments and the lease has been terminated. But the outgoing Lands Minister, CEO of Minerals and Board tried to sell it to themselves and whistleblowers have blown the cover to EOCO. Rumor is they tried to sell it to a Turkish group for a kickback of about US$5Million each.
Ghana for you

Blue Gold did not fail on all their commitments, they have supported our local economy and looked after workers paying us a lot of what we were owed from before. They are a good company to work for and we the workers want to continue working for them.
We are angry that a few union bosses and minor politicians have tried to steal the mine and sell it for profit. We pray the new government will sort this out and allow us to work for the true owners, Blue Gold.

Full of contradictions today they are operating and about to pour gold.
Human rights violators kidnapping a Mine Manager on site with the help of soldiers and police.Today we have Gerald Group 100 million USD 53 million USD bit cannot pay light bills.
The same company terminates employee contracts without observing mining and labour laws in Ghana.
I blame NPP Dan Oweridu UB Amponsah and some Ghanaian managers Ken Allen Ann Obenh Ababio etc. Please FGR very soon you and your fake Blue Gold will answer all your crimes against workers suppliers community and the country.
We don't need such investors in Ghana.

FGR aka Blue Gold have taken over a mine that was no longer operating, they have had issues I agree but they have worked hard to get the mine back up and running and paid a lot of money to those of us workers who have been owed from the previous owner.
It is criminal that the greed of a few union bosses and minor political figures have attempted to steal this mine and have heaped ridicule, shame and embarrassment on our country and hopefully our new government will return the mine to Blue Gold and we the workers can get back to providing for our families. Those responsible for this attempted theft must be prosecuted for the sake of justice and let us pray that foreign investment still wants to come to Ghana.

FGR bought the mine and have worked very hard to give us the workers a job and opportunity to earn for our families. They are a good company to work for and it is the union bosses and minor politicians who have again shown their greed in attempting to steal the business and sell it on simply so they can take big payments.
This has made other foreign companies scared of being in Ghana.
This illegal theft must be overturned and those responsible made to pay for their crimes

Why are all mines in Ghana operating and FGR shit? Who closed the mines?
Why does the company owe SSNIT payments Provident Funds to employees royalties to government and community etc
No legal Mining Permit and Environmental Permit from regulators to operate?
Did FGR comply with the August 2023 and April 2024 120 day notices by the MinCOM to remedy situations on the mine as per Mining and environmental laws in Ghana.
Finally it terminates all senior staff and management in an email without following laid down Mining laws and labour laws in the country including its own laws.
Junior staff did not get letters because you do not have email addresses to be sent to.
If this is a good company they should pay all outstanding monies so that we move on.Not all employees are union members.
How much tax has FGR paid the government !
We want a detailed forensic audit by the NDC government and all found liable should be held to account .There are clear mining steps and labour laws on Ghana of you want to cease operations We demand the answers.
Ignorant workers cannot tell us the law Ghana has got the laws on how mines should operate
Paying workers illegally on August September October 2024 no pay slips and paying the mandatory taxes to the State Whether union of FGR the axe must fall They cannot operate in UK like that even in Togo Mali
