Don't expose your ignorance. The line is from the harbour , trailers will be attached to cart goods from the port. What you see is the engine and the passenger compartment.

Passenger train are designed separate from goods train, the capacity and the purpose of design differ

Note that those diesel engines can never pull trailers. Engines for trailers have hundreds of Horse Power or Kilowatt-Hour. Engines for trailers look like metal monsters - big, tall and noisy

NO, they are not heads for other trains: the whole is a COMPLETE train with loc-driver cabins at each end and passenger seats in the middle cabins. With that design, the train does not have to turn when it gets to its end sta ...

NO, they are not heads for other trains: the whole is a COMPLETE train with loc-driver cabins at each end and passenger seats in the middle cabins. With that design, the train does not have to turn when it gets to its end station and has move in the other direction. The loc-driver simply gets down, moves to the other end and bingo ....

This is the new form of trains in Europe. I have been using such trains in Germany everyday for the past 10 years.

Note that another set can be appended at either end, that is for very busy routes.

The line serves the purpose of transporting cargo. The port infrastructure is incomplete, so it can only carry passengers at the moment. Clearly, additional coaches will be included.
