Definitely if new investors are taking over they are not going to rely on redundant machines which were installed in the 50's. They will have to sell those as scrap and bring in state-of-the-art equipment. That's different from "Selling the company to scrap dealers". The headline is mischievous though it might not be intentional. A better and positive headline could be 'New investors to take over Aboso Glass Factory'.

M.T, I know where you are coming from, but the headline is intentional. It is a ploy to blame the current government of selling the factory which was listed under the DIP under PNDC. Like you said, if new investor will come in, the old machines will have to be taken out for new ones to installed but while you are abreast with what is going on, a fool from a particular party will blame NPP for the collapse of the factory.

All the factories established by Nkrumah was sold by PNDC under their stupid DIP without any benefit to the average Ghanaian. That useless program was implemented by the savior of Ghana, JJ, and to date no Ghanaian can mention one benefit that the "Divestiture Implementation Program" brought to the nation.
