  With High cost of import duties on cars goods at the port, and the issues with Otumfuo medical equipment been detain at the port, it is clear the government of Ghana, doesn't control the port. And this can be traced back to a dubious French company contracted by NDC to improve the port. This company claimed to have spent over a billion dollars hence their quest to charge exorbitant prices to make their money back plus longer years. The problem is, it was done with connivance with corrupt ndc government who signed such agreement for 30years. This same French company is doing dubious activities across Africa. They take 90% of the revenue that comes at the port and have the power to increase the cost. This is how the ndc signed so many power purchasing agreement with independent power producers which has affected us to date paying billion of dollars a year for power we don't use. The npp has also followed such corrupt practices with other partnerships. These has been some of the reason why we are have such a high cost of living.
