Whether NPP or NDC, the real issue is corrupt, partisan govt officials, using state funds to line their own pockets instead of honoring our obligations. When 'DPS' was brought in to steal ECG money, how the hell did our politicians think the IPPs were going to be paid? What is holding Ghanaians to ransom are our corrupt politicians, not giving some sensitive company to private hands. Even if the govt produces all the power we need, they will still have to pay the raw materials suppliers.

Some of you have your heads in your anus. How can the person owed be acting in bad faith? Were you supposed to owe the company in the first place? You see the company as Togbe Afede. That's is why you're talking like that. If not under Akufo Addo and Bawumia, how can the debtor be accusing the creditor of acting in bad faith when all the creditor wants is his money. This is the impunity we have visited on ourselves, and they have the guts to say they want to continue. The company is not even saying it all. The government is doing selective payments. That is why the two new companies brought on after the shutdown are getting money to run. The politics is from the thiefing government, not the company. Take off your tribal head, and the truth will hit your senses

Oh but this makes sense. At least Govt must pay the IPP some portion of IPP's debt to enable the IPP meet its overheads and pay salaries. Is this not only fair. Govt must try to be reasonable at all times.

The IPPs are not charities. They generate power and ECG collects money everyday to pay for the power supplied to them. The real question is, where is the money ECG collects. Don't tell me about insufficient collections. ECG knows who owes and where all the illegal connections are. They just don't care because they live large on the little collected and expect the power producers to continue to supply them power without payment. Ofui, the government and ECG should be responsible and honour their debt instead of getting you fools to change the narrative
