Yes, the original plan is for 5000. But the 200 million dollars was the first tranche for the 1500, not for 5000.
The 1500 was to yield money to be used to continue the project until the 5000 is attained.

Why have they stopped or slowed down the case at court by this vindictive wicked attorney General/ akuffo addo? Because the truth came out strongly in court and they know that they would eventually lose the case, so hurry up and sell it to ourselves using some fake faces from outside.

I just can't understand the reasoning of John Mahama. As a former president under whose tenure this project was started. You secured a loan of $200 million for 5000 units. However, you only provided less than a third of the supposed project. Now, steps are being taken to salvage the situation but you're complaining. the Akan have a saying that " WABODWE ETI, SO MU NA MENKO TI AHOMA MMRA A, WOSE WOAMA MERE GYEI MU" ... meaning your jaw is falling so hold on as I bring a rope to tie it, then you said, if you don't come, I will stop holding it (your falling jaw). This is stupidity to the highest degree. Mahama only talks without listening to himself. He makes no sense most of the time. The reason why he only likes undertaking projects is simple ... he inflates the cost and steals the money. Do you remember he used $372 million to construct the interchange at Kwame Nkrumah's circle. Whilst, Akuffo Addo used $314 million to construct 4 interchanges ... THIS IS FOOD FOR THOUGHT. I know NDC supporters will insult me because that's the only thing they know to do best.

I'm not an NDC member, and I'm not holding brief for the party because I wasn't privy to what happened. However, my question is if persons in the NDC government misappropriated some of funds meant for the project, why are they not in jail where they belong for it? Or is the accusation of misappropriation of funds just a means to paint the previous government black?

Turning to the issue of handing over the project to a private developer, why has it taken 8 years for the current government to decide to do this? Was it a deliberate ploy to cause the project to lose value before being sold off cheaply?

This seems to be NPP's modus operandum as it is reminiscent of how the NPP under President Kufour handled the Aveyime Rice Project and how the present government handled the Komenda Sugar Project.

We the people sit by for these things to happen because we talk parties rather than issues.

The project was to provide beef, milk and hide for our industries. The imperialist quislings who overthrew hims ate all the cattle at the ranch.
The place is not far from the Volta River, if there should be the need irrigation, so the NDC government decided to use it for rice cultivation, which is also agriculture just as its branch animal husbandry which it was acquired for.
