If you do your background checks, you will find out that these Chinese would be fronting for the Aykem Mafia.
The order of the day is state capture.
These same people were against agyapa which would have been a good vehicle to gather the required financing for such project.
This was an open bid unfortunately no Ghanaian consortium could raise such amount.

Imagine a known consortium won which is aligned to an NPP person. Imani wud have come to say under dealing and mobilize organized labour's to strike.
Allowing Ghanaians to own it will reduce the depreciation of the cedi because our Minerals Act does not favour the strengthening of the local currency.
