Please, you do not need to be described as an economist to make such reckless statements. Is Dr. Bawumia speaking as a minister of finance or vice-president? You should understand that he is speaking as a Presidential Candidate for the 2024 elections where he believes that given the power as President that is what he intends to do.
When you were voting on 7 Dec. 2016, did you see his photo on the ballot paper. This time round you will find his picture on the ballot paper. That is the difference.

DMB is just being glib. His demeanor and general character is that of a comedian. I surmise, he is not serious minded guy.

More so is his competency, and real performance of the economy as a vice president and head of the economic management team. The over borrowing of the economy, the collapsed of the banks, the Domestic Debt Exchange Program, the high cost of living as a result of the high inflation, high lending rates and the ballooning unemployment figures against his own promises and accolades of economic wiskid.

DMB is not the kind of president Ghana needs.
