Ghanaians must vote for smart able thinker who can focus on industrial technologies, science, developments mass, and cheap productions like what China is doing. Africa is very rich continent. The main problem is the BRAIN. The Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese are using their brains. Science, Industrially Technologies are what Africans must look for like we see in China, Japan and Korea. China can feed the whole world, mass production and sell to entire world. Africa leaders can't use their brains. Why do we buy from China? We have the natural resources to produce for ourselves. Ghana has all the natural resources but the people are poor. WATER IS LIFE. Why our leaders can't stop galamsey ? We don't have capable and responsible leaders in the country. A leader who can force citizens to do what is right. Do we have one? The country has become like animal farm. Like someone said earlier, this could the greedy and corrupt nature of the management of the airports and you will be surprised that this money will end up in their pockets. Ask yourself, why is this service not charged in Accra but is charged in Kumasi and Tamale?
A corrupt act is a corrupt act and it doesn't matter how much money is involved, small acts leads to bigger acts and needs to dealt with before the fire grows.

if you built a facility and you are inviting people to visit that facility you must create a harmonious and reasonable environment.
1. Drop OFF IS TOTAL different from parking- Drop off falls under your obligation of invitation. you cannot invite me to use your facility and rip of off. that is irrational thinking.

2. waiting
in every international Airport the standard of time limit is in categories- waiting is one of them
so the GHS 5 is under waiting - that gives a time limit of about 10-20 minutes.

3. parking
under this category the customer intention is to park the car for whatever reason for a certain duration. that is where a proper arrangement need to be done and an appropriate fees are been asked to pay.

for me the opening of the Kumasi international Airport was in a rush, and proper arrangement was not done.
they could argue that it is a Temporal arrangement but please work towards the satisfactory of the customers.
if this is irritating the customers - I don't think we are going to achieve the objectives of national interest.
Airport lands are meant for the comfortability of travellers.

going forward
1. we must plan for trolly lines that could run like the metro mass Transport from the Airport to the city center or city Terminal.
if you could dedicate a main station where for eg,
The metro mass transport operating through the Airport to a dedicated city Terminal I think that it could reduce the number of cars that may go to the Airport for drop-off.
if we have a city Terminal , a driver could just drop me off at the city terminal then I pick a Metro mass buss to the Airport for my own convenience to depart from Kumasi.
Please note that
Security at the CITY-TERMINAL must be at it highest operations to protect the travellers.
Every international Airport have a public Transport lines in operation. please the buses must be neat.

I would like to enquire as to whether the loans used for the construction of the two airports are the same. I assume there must be a repayment period for each of them, with different cash flows. If the cash inflows are limited in amount compared to the premium paid on the loans, there must always be a way to cover the remaining amounts. Could you kindly confirm whether one is not paying for drop-offs when traveling to those international airports? Check from Heathrow and Gatwick; you probably don't know because some drop you off and pay for you for free.

Stansted Airport? (UK) charges £7 ( 140Ghs) for drop-off. Other airports in the UK charge different amounts, but as far as I know, there are no issues. Do all hospitals in Ghana charge the same: Korle bu, Komfo Anokye, Ridge and other hospitals in other parts of the country? Or is this criticism for personal gain? This is some too known doctor who thinks management of an airport is the hospital theatre. Go to Gatwick airport or Heathrow and talk this nonsense. They charge you £6 for drop off, and indeed different airports have different ways of managing it. Do your hospital operate the way? Or you want to organise your sector for a strike action?

I agree with you since in Houston(IAH) airport there is no fee charge on drop off.The only charge is when one park at the parking garage.There should not be any fee period.

Those of you condemning, I don’t get you. It’s not the cedi value but the rationale behind this ill thought principle. What is the sense of charging passengers being dropped off or picked up at the airport? Ey3 nkruasesem. You levy airport taxes on passengers yet you still want to charge them for accessing the facility. The greed to make quick money clouts the customer first principle. This airport lacks many things, there are inadequate directional signs for passengers especially those who have disembarked. The longues are not even operational. And being a new airport, one would have expected the acquisition of an advanced body scanners that would have mitigated the removal of footwear and belts. It’s a sad story the way we fail to do the proper thing by forecasting the future yet we spend soo much without justification. Stop these charges, it’s unfair and very irresponsible. Comparing yourselves to airports elsewhere is neither here or there.

Kumasi is not exception in paying for drop- offs. ,it's done same at Tamale airport ,and in India, Banguru airport it's done also. So I think Dr can check elsewhere to verify pls 1 year ago
