The government went into negotiations with the South Koreans and secured the debt relief, now you want to make it all about yourself...exposing your selfishness.

When NPP came to power in 2000, they asked for debt forgiveness under the HIPC initiative which granted. 7 billion USD which was our total external debt was granted. They went out of power in 2008 and are back, asking for the debt forgiveness again. After securing the debt forgiveness and haircuts from external bond holders the finance minister said watch the cedi from tomorrow. He was hoping these debt forgiveness and haircuts will boost the cedi but teh fell flat again. It continues to depreciate.Are not embarrassing ourselves by always begging for money when foreigners are looting our natural resources. The Chinese are everywhere but they are refusing to forgive us our debt, not even agreeing to repayment date. What does that tell you?

The incompetent one is behaving as if he is the president. The debt forgiveness did not happen in a vacuum. It took a competent government to embark on negotiations for that to happen.
