what were you thinking? no system is foolproof. what about the mortgage(gauging your death) system in the whiteman world. you can never pay off your home on time and the house will incure interest so when its all said and done a home you may have purchased for $350,000 dependng on where you bought it. will end up accruing interest and you the mortgage owner will end up paying almost half a mil before the home is aid off. now based on market rates at the time of sale are you guaranteed to sell the house for a profit or a loss? i will leave those with homes in the white mans world to offer an answer to this.

ST GHFUO: Please are you one of those who talk just because you want to be heard? This guy is talking about outright payment not mortgage for a studio and paying at least $150 per month in addition for whatever services we don't know. You pay mortgage in the WHITEMAN'S country if you take mortgage, not if you pay for your property outright. Yes you pay property taxes and home owners association fees every year but the values of those properties hardly decline. That aside, I think the impact of this guy's post is how do most Ghanaians who own these properties afford them on their income? Are most of these people fronting for some foreigners for tax purposes or engaged in some dubious activities?

The guy is absolutely right, those buying such properties are the party faithfuls with looted money (whether NPP or NDC), and corrupt financial institution workers. My brother bought a land and started building a house before he travelled to Europe. As he was sending money to continue with the house at a very slow pace, a guy came around and bought the land next to his and with the blink of an eye he had finished his house to the smallest detail. And when someone (maybe his friend) asked why he was in such a hurry - whether he was being evicted from his residence, he said he wanted to finish before the bank knew anything - apparently he was working in a bank.

Well, I think we all know the answer as to why "some Ghanaians" can purchase such properties.
How else can Akufo Addo and the NPP launder all the looted billions of dollars?

Most Ghanaians don’t take even holidays so all their money goes into investment.
So there are corrupt people in this country but there are many that genuinely make their money. I know many that have done expart jobs and own many properties in this country.
