Some varieties of mangoes, shea nuts, tomatoes and onion only grow well in the northern regions because of low level of humidity. Ghana can't produce those. It won't work. It's too humid.

Blue skies import raw mangoes to make juice? Then when Ghanaian mangoes are in season, they should buy plenty, juice them, export what they can and refrigerate the rest to be exported small small until we enter the next mango ...

Please what is wrong with the Policies of Government with regards to so called Import substitution???

So,after more than 60years, after Independence we still can not produce foods and crops to meet the needs of the country??

Do we have critical thinkers for the management of this country-Ghana.

Even GSS,what are you doing about it?this is wake up call.You can go to various Tertiary institutions organiser lectures to teach the youth or Town council meetings to educate the youth and also to help them to access loans to get this job done.

Even the government can invest directly into these products or goods we import so that we creat jobs for the youth and also cut down so much import bills.

This is a big Insult for GHAHA.

He is not interested in any food and agriculture. You cannot sow hotels and reap mangoes, cocoa, shea nuts and palm oils, NEVER EVER! A square pegs ministerial appointment in a round hole ministry. Reminds us of the former NDC minister of food and agriculture who never handled a Cutlass before, knew little of the industry and being make the substantive minister. We hand a negative percentage growth in the sector, which saw him moved on to the aviation Ministry subsequently. We will reap what we sow.

What at all is wrong with ùs. When you talk they tell you ndc npp. Are we under curse? Somebody say our land cannot produce it-that is a fat lie. Go to eastern region they are producing it.if we had given 10%of the $600m to the farmers there the story will have been different. We are indeed a sick people
