This fingerpointing in all directions except at oneself is so ridiculous. The Cedi is going where it needs to go, given the situation the country is in.
All that can be discussed are the reactions to it. And obviously there is no conclusive strategy in place combining the government and the BoG actions and narrative.
And of course, as the situation puts pressure on everyone, people are searching for ways to handle the problems. So yes, black market forex transactions will rise as much as smuggling. All that combined with a notoriously corrupt administration.
The results are so obvious that really any discussion of the outcome is in vane.

The black market was there long before, you and I were born. In yester years when one needed foreign exchange, one has to have a passport and take the passport to the bank of Ghana and have reasons for the foreign currency validated before one gets the money. But you go to Zongo lane or Cow Lane and in minutes you are on your way. There's black market in everything. The minister is just blowing smoke

Black market or forex bereau is an extension of Ghana Banks foreign exchange center so what do you expect. We are like vultures, when the problem started, we were crying and now we shouldn't display forex rates on the market. Are we serious? You display interbank rates but you will never ever get the forex at the Banks. They will rather tell you to go to the black market. What a country! If black market is abolished and l can walk to a bank with my Ghana card or passport and request for forex with commission payment like some countries do, we wouldn't have come this way. The Bank of Ghana knows the solution but because they are culprit, they are beating about the bush all the time.

These NPP incompetent thieving liars just keep blaming everyone the can think of for their gross incompetence and mismanagement of the economy. Dr. Amoah clearly suffers from Ritual Thinking Depreciation Syndrome.
