Who ensures that Managers in hospitals do their job? President of the GMA has oversight responsibility to ensure managers in hospitals are on top of their job otherwise what’s the duty of the GMA President? Or this one too can we blame the President of Ghana? Someone must be disciplined because this is basic requirement in any Hospital and any excuses are unacceptable.

Agya you are completely wrong. GMA is an association of doctors, The President of GMA has no control over any doctor or health facility. He is like President of Ghana bar association. The person you are referring to is called Director General of the Ghana Health service. But the person you want resigning is the Medical Superintendent of Tema General hospital. He is a very senior doctor.

Ignorance is no excuse. Dr Serebour you have a big mouth. Keep quiet and not answer questions not meant for you. Your being the President of GMA does not make you responsible for how hospitals are run. That is for the Medical Supt of the hospital, the Greaer Accra Regional Director, the Director General of the Ghana health service and the Minister of Health to answer.
Dr Serebour you have failed to provide context that your hospital was rehabilitated by government and made operational about 5 years ago and as part of the project new and modern generators and other sources of power were provided. You can therefore afford to boast for something you did not do.
Tema General is in a poor state and the proposed rehabilitation of the hospital is at a standstill.
Dr Sereboour is trying to deflect attention to the fact that the ultimate responsibility for this state of affairs is government. Leave Dr Anthony and his management alone.
The media should rather be asking the Director of the Ghana Health Service and the Minister of Health what plans they have for an uninterrupted power supply to government health facilities in the country.
As for those ascribing everything in the management of health to the GMA, they should read more about how the health system is run in this country.
To Dr Serebour is his politician GMA colleagues please direct the media to the right people who are responsible for health facilities and not want fame by commenting on any issue of health in the country because you are doctors.
Please concentrate on your core mandate of fighting for the welfare of doctors instead of veering into issues for the sake of being heard and waxing lyrical about things.

IGF IGF IGF. Those are revolving funds and are now designated as the panacea to financing the health sector. Come on let’s get serious. Let the hospitals be allowed to charge realistic tariffs and also be held accountable then we can get some quality care from adequate funds.
IGF cannot buy capital equipment so hospitals do this piecemeal.
Agenda 111 hospitals are coming up yet many of the existing hospitals have poor infrastructure to function. Maintenance culture is zero

Best thing is to curse all those who are using this situation to steal babies from the mothers at the ward and selling them to certain folks. Ghanaians should make use of the numerous river gods and goddesses there around the hospitals. Nurses and doctors etc have become too evil. They're selling babies to the rich folks for rituals and so for the barren families and also trafficking babies for the demonic pharmaceutical companies beyond the Ghanaian borders. Whole lot of money laundering going on between the police service and the immigration. Curse them all to their death from their families to their sixth generations. Curse them well well.
