So if this is like moving from iPhone 8 to iPhone 15 Pro max then the price have to increase to deliver all the security features. Besides, a passport is a onetime purchase for 5 - 10 years validity. Not like transport fares or other services

So logically, if Government is not willing to add to it again, we should be asked to pay 400 cedis for the passport. Why are you charging 500 cedis for 32 pages and 644 for 48 pages?
The camels back is finally broken, and I can tell you that, all this is a rip off for campaign. Since you know you are not coming back any longer till they kingdom come. I am.sorry, not that the alternative is any better , but enough is enough.

Search online to see how much passports cost in other countries. Passports are printed by international specialised companies the same way our currency is not printed by just anybody.

Other countries charge $120 for a 10yr passport......in Canada I think to get a Ghana passport is $177 bank draft....so shut up with 644 cedis complain....you Ghanaians will still complain for discount even if it was 10 cedis ...

Very very cheap and cheaper, i paid 1400rmb in China for my passport, convert to Ghana Cedis and see the difference, everyone knows the system is hard but for this i think it's too cheaper than i expected

As for this, I support the Npp Govt..don’t pay attention to any fools making noise on social media..it’s not mandatory for a Ghanaian to get a passport but if u want to get one, then be ready to bear the cost..the average Ghanaian will complain about everything in their country but will be mute when they travel.this is long overdue..Same dumb and idiotic Ghanaians will be mute when an embassy ask them to pay $10,000 visa application fee which the visa is not even guaranteed..sometimes I wonder how the average Ghanaian think..Piaww, if u cannot afford common 1000 cedis passport, then u are not ready to travel..Npp this is good move..Ghana passport is too cheap..it’s better to pay for more and get fast and easy access to passport than to pay less and be delayed in the process..I repeat the Ghanaian passport fee was too cheap and am glad the fee has been increased..A country that will complain and talk about everything..good job to the foreign affairs ministry..traveling is not for cheap and broke people..if u are ready to travel, then be ready to bear the cost
