  We are poor because we get very little value from our natural resources hence our Governments are forced to borrow to implement critical infrastructure projects. This situation must change else we will forever be tied to the aprons of the IMF and bilateral lenders. We need a rethinking of contracts for the exploitation of our resources by foreign multinationals.
  
  Plus we need to do better are curbing CORRUPTION which dissipates the meagre financial resources available. Politicians always pays lip-service to fighting corruption. But year after year we see no change.
