His two main errors were i. having overstepped his budget repeatedly and ii. overestimating black man's gumption by underestimating their ill-will and malice and investing in too much faith committed to the Pan African utopia.
Not admiring the charm, energy and charisma of the man however, is heartless and dastardly.

Well said. He indeed underestimated the black man's ill-will and malice. Nkrumah was a great man he just did not appreciate how backward his own people were.

Well said. He indeed underestimated the black man's ill-will and malice. Nkrumah was a great man he just did not appreciate how backward his own people were.
Nkrumah was overthrown in Feb 1966.
