  NDC Speaker, MPs and their supporters have been working at this over the past three years and tried every tricks possible including blackmail to try and box the current government into this corner. With the speaker leading the force they have intimidated all MPs to vote for this bill to be passed. I'm strongly against the practice of LGBTQ in our country. However, I'm opposed to the way the speaker intimidated the MPs into passing the law. Instead of enploying secret ballot like how he was elected as speaker, he used an open ballot which intimidated the MPs into voting for the passing of the Bill. Now, if the president accents to the act, Ghana will suffer economic and financial blackmail by the west, resulting in the government losing the December elections. If he doesn't the gov't will lose the elections because Ghanaians will see the administration as supporters of LGBTQ, which is frowned upon by most Ghanaians. I think the bill must be returned to Parliament and amended so the level of custodial sentence will be watered down to community service. Of course I'm totally against the practice of LGBTQ in this country, but the politics injected into the passing of the Bill makes it poisonous and unacceptable. It must be amended before presidential accent. I hope the Supreme Court of Ghana will do the right thing by pointing out flaws in the bill as it is in its current form.
