Population of USA is more than 10 times Canada. In terms of developed countries, Canada have one of the smaller economies overall. Rather the other way round with migrants moving form USA to Canada because of the ability to get the nkrataa and the universal healthcare.

Those people complaining about Canada and claiming they want to leave are people that entered the country through dubious means. For example, as a student to study and once they are in, defer their studies to work low paying under the table jobs. That person will have difficulty settling in because they cannot do anything else until they improve themselves. Which means, further their education then they can get proper paying jobs and live comfortably. Canada system is setup this way intentionally for it's Citizens to benefit from what they put in. It is not a Country for hustlers or a person looking for quick means to build a mansion in their home country. It will take a smart person that is able to go through the education system and finish about 5 - 8 years to achieve this successful settling in I described above. By that I mean the person will be working for some corporation and make an income to own a home and drive a car if they choose to. This is not to say life is easier for the person after this many years as they will need to pay taxes like everyone else and might have to choose between saving up to start a family later, or taken on further studies while they are working so they can be promoted afterwards or get an even higher paying job than their current one. Canadians by nature are honest and truthful people so their society is setup in that same way. The more honest you are and contribute your share, the more better you become in their society. I cannot think of a single scenario if we compare Ghana to Canada where Ghana will be better. None. Now, the unscrupulous asylum seekers and Student Visa Fraud people are what the system is setup to reject automatically through silent means without telling them to go back to their country. That means, they will accept the person story and grant them asylum, and put them on social assistance for no more than what a Canadian Citizen on social assistance will get so let's say $700 monthly maximum. Now, someone will hear this amount and think it is big money but it is absolutely not enough to live on in Canada. Your average gainfully employed Canadian will make that $700 in 1 week as salary in a mid level corporate job. By that I mean the type of job one can get after they have finished their schooling not working as a cashier at a supermarket or flipping burgers. No offense to those who do just making a point. Now an average Canadian basement rent in a modern Province like Ontario will be around $950 and up. 1 bedroom apartment in a good neighborhood where your children will get access to better schools is around $1800 and up. So most new comers will share a 2 bedroom apartment and pay half of the rent. If you go to stay in low income dangerous neighborhood like the notorious Jane and Finch community, the rent will be cheaper but you will have to worry about dodging bullets as the gangs are constantly shooting each other. And your children will be more likely influenced by gang culture than going to school. So the asylum seeker that is getting free $700 from the Canadian government, is already starting out life in Canada below the poverty line they just don't know it yet. And if they do not go through the process of securing their permanent residency and possibly Citizenship, they have no chance of making it. The Government give the new immigrants work permit so they can work and most of them use it to do under the table low paying jobs to start their mansion back home instead of focusing on going through the process layed out before them. So you see the Country is very tolerant but they are not fools to provide free lunch. They just give you enough money to keep you in silent suffering until you decide one day that you cannot live like that anymore and proceed to better yourself and contribute your quota, or leave Canada to go to another Country. If a person cannot make it in Canada with the support they provide for new comers, that person will be too lazy to make it anywhere else in the world. It is a two tier system of actual Canadian Citizens that work and live amazingly great life, and those struggling and looking for a shortcut around the system. A professionally employed Canadian, let us say working in Finance or Technology sector can pay $5,000 mortgage monthly easily. And still have enough left for trips, shopping and eating out regularly. Remember I said a highly educated professional not somebody doing tech support on the phone. But even tech support jobs will start with a salary of around $4
$35-40,000 yearly and up. So you see why they say Canada is the best Country in the world? It is very advance country and developed. And if you focus and work hard, your children and your children's children can have a good future. It is just that unlike Ghana or Nigeria for example, you cannot bribe your way through anything in Canada. The corruption exist in Canada too because after all, it is filled with people. But it is happening at such a high level of the society that the average citizens feels it, but have no actual proof of it. So everybody goes on about working to take care of their families. Nobody have time for unproductive things. Because the whole society is automated so everything works and works fast too. If you loose focus it is very easy to fall off. Keep in mind the numbers mentioned above are for province of Ontario. There are places in the west like Alberta or Nunavut in the north where cost of living is much lower but it is colder there done Ontario. Welcome to Canada. Enjoy your stay.

I have seen that students that come in especially for post graduate studies do very well after school, Education is key to break through in Canada. That said, I have equally seen non-educated achieve much beyond what even educated people do all through hard work even though it may be menial. The Canadian society does reward hard work and it is possible to breakthrough no matter your status.

Also, people with richer and poorer backgrounds all moved in large numbers hoping for s better life. Those who return may have a better life back home. Some stay for better life here than what they will have gotten in their home country, others do it for their kids future or for unlimited opportunities across the world.
