  I met my dear brother Dan in 1999 when I moved to Ghana from Canada back then and joined my late father's company Dashwood Shipping a licenced Stevediring Company and Custom House Agents. My dad (T T Addy) had introduced Dan to me as his son whom he held in high regard. My dad had previously worked all his life in Port Operations holding key positions such as Managing Director of Ghana Cargo Handling Company, Director Tema Port and Director General Ghana ports and Harbours Authority and various other positions. My dad (T T Addy) like Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Dr Liman Professor Mills had served his country diligently through years of hard work at the ports. My dad subsequently became a victim of the Rawlings regime having been asked to proceed on leave without any due process established in law in 1991. He was never given his terminal benefits as a public servant. My late dad ( T T Addy ) then set Dashwood Shipping licenced to operate at all ports in Ghana. My dear brother Dan of McDan was the Director in charge of Air Freight at the airport cargo branch of Dashwood Shipping. I understudied Dan and his team then going on the field with Marcus, Oliver, Emelia and others at the airport. I found Dan to very hard working and very dedicated and committed to duty. I am very proud of his great achievements under McDan.
