Certain remarks and actions of the Ecowas leaders led tonthe withdrawal from the Union. Our president asked US and UK to help Ghana to protect it's northern border against Burkinabe insurgents. Also the threat of the Ecowas to attack them if them refused to handover power to a democratic government .This did not sit well with the Burkinabe leadership.
