The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has charged Ghanaians to collaborate towards economic sovereignty and recovery.
Speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama at the Accra Friends Forever Club Dinner on March 8, 2026, Debrah emphasised that the strength of any nation’s development is deeply tied to the vibrancy of its private sector, noting that nearly 70 percent of the club’s membership operates within that space.
According to him, Ghana’s ambition to become a major manufacturing hub in West Africa will require strong partnerships between government, businesses, and citizens.
“The development of every nation is largely anchored on the strength of its private sector. We must work together, pool our knowledge, and support each other if we are to transform Ghana into the industrial powerhouse we envision," he said.

He also reassured business leaders that the government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for investment, innovation, and private sector growth.
Beyond economics, Debrah stressed the importance of relationships and national unity, urging Ghanaians not to allow political differences to erode personal bonds and shared national aspirations.
