J A Plantpool launches Sinotruck A7 in grand style

J A Plant Pool Ghana Limited, the sole representative of leading manufacturers of heavy duty equipment, trucks and buses in the country on Monday launched Sinotruck A7 truck and the company’s five years anniversary in Accra.

The A7 range, according to J A Plantpool, is the latest model and has the best of design, efficiency, durability and affordability.

In an address, the Managing Director of J A Plantpool, Lolu Akindele, divulged that based on the company’s long standing relationship with the manufacturers, his outfit has been appointed as the sole dealer of the truck in Ghana.

Sinotruck is Chinese based company, he revealed.

According to him, the company in 2008 ignited a massive revolution in the transport sector with the importation of 250 Yutong buses, adding that J A Plantpool efforts since then have made Yutong a household name in Ghana.

He added that the strategic partnership with Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), which led to the supply of 250 trucks to 145 MMDAs across the country a few years ago, turned the fortunes of the company around.

For his part, the General Manager of Sinotruck Ghana, Yuan Zhongbo, said the company in the past five years, have made effective cooperation in technology, finance and management in the country.

“…And our cooperation has withstood the test of time and changes in the international heavy duty truck market and emerged even stronger,” he added.

He affirmed that A7 truck has more than hundreds of models such as tractor head, tipper concrete mixer and fuel tanker, which will help meet different requirements of it users.

J A Plantpool was established by the Bank for Housing and Construction to serve as a hub for the supply of heavy duty equipment to local contractors in the seventies.

It was subsequently put on divestiture by the government and acquired by a private investor five years ago and has since become the leader in the supply of equipment and vehicles for the transport and construction sectors of the Ghanaian economy.
