Ghana Airways Commences Flight To Hamburg Today

The National Airline, Ghana Airways will from next week start flying to the German city of Hamburg. The maiden flight is scheduled for Monday December 9. Ghana Airways officials say the decision to fly the Hamburg route will satisfy the large Ghanaian population in the northern parts of Germany and other European countries. Acting Marketing Director, Ransford Akai says Ghana Airways is taking advantage of the operational stability it is currently enjoying to explore some business opportunities. He said there are a large number of Ghanaians in the Hamburg area who are often compelled to make long train journeys to D?sseldorf in order to fly Ghana Airways.

The new direct flights to Hamburg could eliminate the hustle of the long journey to D?sseldorf and therefore encourage more Ghanaians (as well as foreigners) to fly Ghana Airways. Mr Akai told JOY News that the new direct flight to Dusseldorf will also improve Ghana Airways’ competitiveness.
