There is an increase in economic activities within the Cape Coast Municipality in the Central Region as governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares to launch its campaign later today

Businessmen and women are cashing on in the ongoing campaign launch to make huge sales. Usual of such events, party paraphernalia have been on display at vantage points around the venue of the event.

Traders, food vendors, drinking bar operators, sellers of artifacts and taxi drivers braced themselves for a boom in sales with most of them already seen seeking strategic locations close to the 15,000 capacity congress grounds to display their wares.

According EIB’s Baah Acheamfuor, these business persons have been around the stadium since last Thursday and have clustered all spaces around the facility making it impossible for residents to easily walk around.

Kasapa Fm’s Maame Broni who has also been monitoring the situation, reported that the venue looks more like a market as they are gearing up for a boom in sales.

In the wake of this, there has been a sudden mad rush for hotel accommodation by patrons of the event with almost all hotels fully booked compelling some landlords to convert their private homes into lodges for some visitors.
