Clottey to fight Bernard Hopkins?

Joshua Clottey dropped a hint of a possible fight against 24-year-old light middleweight, Marco Antonio Rubio, on the Bernard Hopkins/Jermain Taylor bill slated for July 16. He is still negotiating with the promoters, Lou Dibella Entertainment, for confirmation.

Like former WBA welterweight champion, Ike ?Bazooka? Quartey, the young ambitious boxer has a difficulty in finding opponents. Among boxers who have refused to fight him are Darrel Mattysee (Argentina), Kermit Cintron(Pueto Rico), WBA and IBF champion, Zab Judah, and WBC champion Shane Mosley who opted for David Estrada instead. That bout is scheduled for either the latter part of this month or May.
