Week 18 Boxing fixtures

Accra, Sept 12, GNA - The Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association has rescheduled the Week 18 fixtures of the Regional Amateur Boxing League to Friday, September 19. The fixtures, originally scheduled for Friday, September 12 was pushed forward in view of the burial of the veteran boxing coach Armstrong Agbana, trainer of the Sparta Gym and one time trainerof ex-WbC feather-weight champion, D.K. Poison of Ghana.

Gideon Quartey, Acting Chairman of GAABA told GNA Sports that the postponement was to make way for members of the Association to fully participate in the funeral and burial rites of the late Agbana. "We are sorry for the inconvenience this action might have has caused to members," he concluded.

The late Agbana was also a former coach of the Black Bombers.
